Gyeonggi Porcelain Museum

It is a museum of porcelain that studies the white porcelain of Joseon, excavates the relics of Joseon's kilns, supports academic researches, and offers training on traditional porcelain. For the development of the traditional Korean porcelain, it hosts a traditional porcelain contest titled 「Beautiful Porcelain of Korea」 every other year to present the many beautiful porcelain products of Korea. There are two large exhibition halls, a special exhibition hall, and a multipurpose room with other amenities, such as a large outdoor sculpture park, a wood kiln, Korean Garden, a tea demonstration center, and a store selling porcelain items produced in Gwangju. Gwangju Joseon Porcelain Museum permanently exhibits the traditional white porcelain, celadon, and porcelain with blue inlay of the Joseon Dynasty with a 500-year history, and the art pieces of modern artists who are carrying on the tradition. You can feel the tradition of Korean porcelain with the many special exhibitions that highlight the culture and history of the traditional Korean porcelain.
