Welcome to Gwangju

We invite you to the gateway to Seoul and the town with an eco-friendly culture and familial love leading the 21st century, cherishing the sacred and historic Namhan Fortress and the 500-year-old porcelain culture of Joseon.

Gwangju is the origin of the traditional Korean culture and is home to Korea's long history and culture along Han River. It is currently located at the heart of Gyeonggi Province and serves as the strategic point of the ground transportation adjacent to Seoul. Located in the metropolitan sphere, it offers a pleasant housing environment and great potential for development. Over 70% of the area consists of mountains, with valleys and streams. Paldang Lake, the source of the water supply for the metropolitan region, preserves the city’s beautiful natural landscape.

Gwangju City is a wellbeing city with a long history, inviting sceneries, the lure of lakeside comfort, and a great vision for the future.
